Ling Ling is epiPeople’s textbook “I”.
Dubbed the mouth-in-training by the team, she takes care of epiPeople’s social media and web content – making sure that everything ties together coherently as a cohesive whole. She is always conceptualizing and brainstorming behind the scenes to strike a balance between personality and persona, substance and style, entertainment and education, and a slew of other things.
Born and bred in Brunei, Ling Ling was a recipient of an MOE scholarship to the University of Kent for a Bachelor of Law. In England, she remained just as vocal and represented her university in various debating competitions across the United Kingdom, most notably the Baillie Gifford Oxford’s Women’s Open 2015. Her crowning achievement still remains achieving Second Place in the whole of Southern UK in Toastmasters District 91 International Speech Contest of 2015.
Unfortunately, Ling Ling was unable to continue her education in the UK due to health reasons and had to forfeit her scholarship after only just two years. Now back in Brunei, working for epiPeople allows her to continue to grow and share her skills. Under the tutelage of Reuben, Ruey and Allen, she is learning to become a public speaker so she can reach more people with her story and her firm belief that anything is possible as long as you don’t stop trying.
Even the overachiever, Ling Ling can also play seven musical instruments and sing soprano in a choir. In the end, you will always hear her before you see her!
